In all our work, Ariadne Labs is committed to saving lives and reducing suffering for patients everywhere. We aim to create simple, scalable solutions for critical moments at all stages of the health care journey. The coronavirus pandemic has rapidly become a critical moment for the entire world, and we feel an obligation to respond by spreading perhaps the simplest solution of all: staying home.
We need to be united as a community in this time. We need to come together with one another while staying physically apart.
Today, we are launching a social media movement to bring people together while we #StayHome. We want to hear from you on what you’re doing to stay connected during these times. Maybe you’ve taken up a new hobby, or maybe you’ve gotten creative with virtual dinner parties. Whatever it is, share it on social media with #StayHome to help inspire others.
Earlier this week, a group of my clinical peers and leaders launched the Stay Home, Save Lives campaign, urging everyone to stay home and let workers on the frontlines do their jobs. As partners in this campaign, we at Ariadne Labs recognize the importance of sharing this message as widely as possible. We want to connect the people who face uncertain weeks ahead full of uncomfortable video conference calls and virtual visits with family and friends, and those whose livelihood has suffered as a result of this virus. We are all in this together, and only by acting collectively can we stem the tide of this pandemic.
We realize that not everyone can stay home. Our health care workers are at the front lines fighting this virus in real time. Cleaning staff, grocery store staff, and countless others are working harder than ever to make sure we have access to the supplies we need to keep ourselves healthy. When we stay home, we protect those people who can’t make that choice.
We realize that not everyone can stay home…When we stay home, we protect those people who can’t make that choice.
Physical distance does not have to mean social isolation. There are plenty of ways to stay busy and stay connected. And, in these difficult and uncertain times, it’s perhaps more important than ever that we do just that.
Follow Ariadne’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to see what we’re doing while we #StayHome.
Then, help us spread the word by using #StayHome and sharing a photo, video, or just an idea of what you’re doing. Help inspire everyone to #StayHome so that we can all do our part to stop the spread of coronavirus.
